I made this by folding a piece of paper in pie parts, drawing something and let the ink stain on the next part. In kindergarden we used to do that a lot: Just paint a wing, fold the paper and there you have a butterfly…
3 of 3 in attempt to design a mini tattoo.
2 of 3 in attempt to design a mini tattoo. (1st one was actually used as tattoo.) After this I did no longer designed tattoos, only on demand.
This is the first time I was actually content with the tribals. Was trying to make it part of a series of wings, but in the end I only made 2. I seem to do that often with series…
An ankh and a woman in one. In that time I was planning to have this tattooed together with the ‘Wings of Innocence’, but I never did.
I’ve tried to form a dolphin from tribals. I like the concept and the overall image, but I do not like the tribal. I never edited for authenticity sake. But maybe I’ll do a remake or a new dolphin piece, just because it has been more than 20 years 🙂
The idea is yin-yang, both the dolphin’s black/white as the green/blue of the waves.
Here is where it all started years ago. I was with my first boyfriend who wanted to be an tattoo artist, so for him I started to design. I also designed a lower arm piece for him, but ofcourse those are not online in my portfolio.
I’d never made tribals before, and that shows. But it’s clearly more freely. When I make a linery now, I have to remind myself that my drawing are mostly not for tattoo purposes anymore.
